LIVING AREAS
Here’s why the great room is so…well, great! It’s thoughtfully designed to bring the group together but also provide enough spots for everyone to relax in their own way. There are quiet corners for conversation, nooks where the kids can come together and play, and a main gathering space with double-sided fireplace and flat-screen TV for nighttime movie watching.
Multiple Spaces - We believe that our Sunset Home is one of the best beach vacation rental homes in Fenwick island for large, AND small groups. Our award-winning architect specifically designed the home to comfortably accommodate multiple family’s large groups up to 16 folks who need multiple spaces for simultaneous and diverse activities, as well as privacy. The home has 7 such places – pool area, hot tub deck, 3 decks, 2 porches, a computer nook, and a sitting area next to the living room. Of course, this does not include the ocean and sitting on the dock whichis perfect for hanging out with a special family member or friend(s).
With this variety of gathering spaces, soft conversations and loud TV/music and soft conversations do not conflict.
On the other side of the fireplace is dining table for ten with a 3-person extension table available, where you can dig into homemade feasts under chic pendant lighting. Additional seating is available for 4 more at the nearby kitchen island. Go ahead and open that second bottle of wine: when you dine at home, you’re in no rush.
And when you eat here, you’ll eat well. The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked and spacious—there’s plenty of room for multiple chefs, and plenty of equipment to prepare meals for a crowd. In addition to a full suite of appliances and gadgets, you’ll have all the dishes and cookware you’ll need. Plus, with stainless steel and granite appointments, this is a stylish space you’ll love to cook in.
OUTDOOR SPACES
There’s a reason we call it The Sunset House—and you’ll find it on our expansive outdoor deck. Whether you spend the golden hour splashing in the pool, soaking in the hot tub, sipping poolside cocktails at shaded cafe tables, or settling in for seafood feasts in the outdoor dining area, you’ll be treated to the same stunning sight: the evening sunset painting the sky over Assawoman Bay.
It’s an outdoor space like no other. And it’s also home to one of less than a dozen private pools on Fenwick Island—so slather on that sunscreen and make the most of it!
With another more intimate deck with table and chairs off the great room, there’s another option for quiet conversation and bay breezes. Plus, three of the master suites come complete with their own bay-view balconies—watch birds glide over the waters before the world wakes up.

DISCOVER FENWICK ISLAND
Here’s the secret about Fenwick Island: it’s among Delaware’s most beautiful beaches, but without the crowds. (Look at the comparison photos of Bethany Beach beaches vs Fenwick’s in our photo album.) When you stay here, you can stroll just a few minutes over to the tideline and have no problem finding a space to spread out your towel. And when you’re this close to the beach, you can even stop home for a mid-afternoon BBQ on your deck.
Or, instead opt for a meal out at an array of restaurants within walking distance. Try Our Harvest for artisan breads and cheeses and locally sourced seafood and ingredients, Mancini’s for a classic family pizza dinner, or Jimmy’s for old-school American breakfast.
The home is within easy walking distance to many restaurants (one a James Beard award winner), coffee shops, clothing and book shops, 3 mini golf courses, water slide and a go cart track.
When you’re ready for adventure, take our provided bikes for a spin up and down the coastline. Or head to Little Assawoman Bay and rent a pontoon boat, kayak, or jet ski for a wet and wild afternoon out on the water.
Use our 8 bikes to explore the "island" and/or to go to Kohr's for a delicious custard cone, pick up the morning paper, bagels and/or donuts, or just enjoy being mobile.
The town hall (3 blocks away) has an almost brand-new playground for children, a basketball half-court, and a shuffle board court and a picnic area. Plus, a large amusement park in Ocean City is just a few miles away as well as two boardwalks, and the Freeman Stage entertainment venue (also reviewed in our resort pointe blog). And for the off season, we have a see-through gas fireplace, cozy sofa blankets and tear-jerking old DVD movies.
